HOW IT
“A creative collaboration dedicated to create a place for second chances.”
Muli, from the Filipino word “again”, deals with an imaginative approach on revival. It is an eco-friendly lamp shop that showcases 100% hand-made and unique driftwood luminaires. Its sculptural art pieces hope to be considered as innovative sources of inspiration for future illumination projects.
The founders of Muli, now Cabseco, Naia (a Landscape Architect) & Ross (an Architect), first conceptualized the idea to create hand-made lamps when they decided to merge their professions with sculptural art. As both artists and advocates for sustainable living, they have been continuing to promote their beliefs and bringing light into homes and local spaces since the first release.

WHAT IT'S
OF
made
Muli utilizes discarded driftwood collected from local shores and revives them with the use of other local softscape and hardscape materials.
The luminaire is then integrated with air plants held by the aide of brass wires. They are re-energized through the illumination of dimmable, LED filament bulbs, allowing the user to adjust its brightness accordingly - whether for general or mood lighting. All these while mounted atop a stone pedestal. The materials, also, of course, do not harm, but rather, give warmth to the adjacent greens; hence, bring out the balance of materials in the luminaire.
Since no one lamp can look like the other, they are given a name according to its shape and form. This, along with the unorthodox way of assembling the materials, result in a 100% hand-made luminaire designed for diverse environments, and an even diverse audience who appreciates the world in a second light.
